09 Oct Toddle Adventure: Waun-Y-Llyn
It seems like somebody flipped the ‘autumn’ switch — without warning we’ve got longer nights, blustery days and leaves on the ground. To celebrate the changing seasons we spent a windy Saturday adventuring around Waun-Y-Llyn in Flintshire, Wales.
At 282m elevation, it’s a moderate walk up to the top (though we drove up with the kids), and you’re rewarded with gorgeous views right over Merseyside, Cheshire and this corner of northern Wales, and a beautiful short walk which loops around the nature reserve and pond.
The short loop ends up at a stunning disused quarry, which the kids loved scaling and clambering over. We even found a family of field voles tucked away in the heather.
Hot chocolates were definitely necessary.
We hope you’ve had some wonderful weekend adventures. Don’t forget to sign up to the Toddle email list to be the first to find out about our product releases, news and adventures.
