Creating a family bucket list is one of the most exciting things to do as a parent, as we all want to give our babies a childhood to remember. We’re sure that you have your family bucket list already, but what destinations should you visit? Here are three destinations to consider for your next staycation.
The Lake District
The Lake District is one of the most beautiful places in England, with its gorgeous mountain ranges, lakes, and parks. It has been a source of inspiration for artists and writers for decades, and it is certainly one for the family.
There is plenty of wildlife to see, lakes to explore and take pictures of, and campsites with entertainment for little ones. Many places are either tailored for children or adults, but the Lake District has something for everyone!
Weymouth, Dorset
Weymouth is in the heart of the Jurassic Coast with lovely beaches to enjoy and explore. There are also plenty of amusement arcades for kids to play in, a Sealife Centre, and more fish and chip shops than you could ever imagine!

Weymouth offers a lovely look that is different from many places in England, so you’re sure to be exploring something different to what you know. More importantly, Dorset is one of the best places in the UK for hunting fossils! So, get on the beach and don’t stop until you find a prehistoric dinosaur bone.
Chester Zoo, Cheshire
A summer bucket list would not be complete without a zoo trip, right? Kids love them, and adults get a free few hours while the kids are marvelling at every single animal there has ever been. Chester zoo is one of the largest zoos in the UK with more than 35,000 animals!

This zoo is amazing and well laid out, so you won’t have to miss anything. If you’re planning on travelling to a zoo this summer, we definitely think Chester zoo is the best. Cheshire is also a lovely place to visit in itself, so you’ll have more to do than just the zoo.
